She was singer performer designer who broke through the barriers of the music industry. She was simultaneously modern and traditional. She was an Mexican American who brought two worlds in an unique manner. As is often the case of a brilliant and friendly star is lost in a hurry, her untimely demise has thrown her profile into a quagmire. A lot of mourners reacted to its untapped potential. Through the years, her fans were motivated to do their best to make sure that Selena's achievements would not be forgotten. Her death in a shooting triggered emotions in the Latino society that could be likened in a way to Elvis Presley, and John Lennon. Selena is a hugely popular Latino performer throughout North America, Selena's music has influenced many people throughout the world. Selena may have been hailed by certain people as a Latina Madonna, however she's still a fantastic example to follow. Selena's off-stage family values and involvement with AIDS awareness efforts make her a good example.
